ROCHECHOUART

Location: Paris, France
Surface area: 32 sqm
Duration: 3 months
Cost of works: €27,000
Delivery : 2020
Photos: Laura Innocente

Objective: storage, green and blue
Mission: organise, optimise
Process: custom furniture, levitating lines, colours

A tailor-fitted wall-mounted library/desk for lots of books to store and a compact bedroom with plenty of storage. The clients commission included the use of green in the colour scheme and we added a deep blue in the room. Subdued atmosphere and carefully picked light intensities for a light-sensitive homeowner The library wall is designed in an open and airy way, including a bridge over the entrance to the room, open niches, some closed elements, a TV area and a desk. Especially the lines are entangled without locking up the perception of spaciousness and the structural elements are worked in finesse as if to disappear.

In the bedroom the ambition was to darken and create a cocoon that is both modern in its lines, warm and practical. Blue was chosen to match the preexisting wood on the floors and on the door chamfers. The storage has been optimised to allow a fluid circulation through space.

Overall, the apartment is coherent, airy and colorful.

One happy client.
